La Coqueta’s Evelia Girl Hand-Smocked Dress is a masterclass in artisanal elegance. Crafted from lightweight, pure cotton, the bodice features honeycomb hand-smocking over a Liberty retro floral print, creating a textured, tactile effect that adds depth and sophistication. The floaty midi skirt is finished with a tiered, flouncy hem, while wide straps are traced with delicate butterfly frills. Inspired by the styles Founder and Creative Director Celia Muñoz wore in Granada, each Evelia dress is brought to life by skilled seamstresses at our family-owned Spanish ateliers, who devote seven hours of hand-smocking to every piece, weaving tradition into each stitch. The Liberty cotton print in coral pinks, yellows, and blues is meticulously hand-rendered in London, drawing on an archive of over 50,000 historic motifs, resulting in delicate, painterly designs with a silk-like texture and vibrant clarity.
