La Coqueta's collection of chic, versatile shoes contains traditional yet timeless shoes for girls in a number of different styles. From our best-selling Spanish Mary Jane shoes to sturdy but stylish Desert Boots and charming Girl T-Bar styles, your little girl is bound to find a pair she truly loves with our latest collection. Each pair of stylish shoes for girls from La Coqueta are designed in-house at our London studio by Founder and Creative Director Celia Muñoz, inspired by the beautiful styles she grew up wearing in her native Granada. Each shoe is hand-crafted by artisans in Spain and Europe from the finest Nappa and goat leather which has a buttery soft texture, that not only looks beautiful but also stands the test of time. Our seasonal collections have the must-have styles for growing girls, from white leather sandals for beach vacations to black patent school shoes for the new school year, and girls' glitter shoes for party season. For more beautiful Spanish girls’ clothing take a look at our dresses and skirts for endless daywear options and supersoft knitwear that can be worn all year round.

Are girls' shoe sizes the same as boys'?

Unlike adults, girls' shoe sizes are the same as boys'. Girls tend to have narrower feet than boys, so the main difference between girl and boy shoes is that girls’ shoes tend to have smoother soles, simply due to the structure of their feet.

How much bigger should I buy girls' shoes?

We generally recommend buying half a size up for kid’s shoes if your little girl is between sizes. Recommended shoe length for growing should be between 0.5 and 1.5cm longer than the longest foot length.

How quickly do a girl's feet grow?

Girls' feet grow very quickly, and during their first 3-4 years can grow as much as two sizes up each year. By school age, growth slows to around one size up per year, and between the ages of 6-10 children’s feet grow around less than 1mm per month in length. Girls' feet tend to stop growing at 14 years.

What are the most practical school shoes for girls?

The best school shoes for girls can be found in La Coqueta's latest collection, offering supple Nappa leather shoes for girls in a range of school-friendly shades of black and navy. Choose traditional Girl's Mary Janes, classic Girl T-Bars, or our Velcro strap Black Classic School Shoe Girl.

How do I measure a girl's feet?

Read our helpful guide on how to measure children’s feet for shoes, ensuring your little girl always has the most comfortable and well-fitting pair of shoes for the playground, the next party, and everywhere in between.

How do I style girl’s shoes?

Style La Coqueta's timeless Spanish leather girl's shoes with traditional hand-smocked dresses and soft cotton socks or tights for a complete outfit. Our Girl's Mary Janes perfectly pair with floral cotton dresses and a light knitted layer for extra warmth.
